Viña Eguía adapts its portfolio to the market with a restyling and diversification project

Viña Eguía adapta su portafolio al mercado con un proyecto de restyling y diversificación

Viña Eguía has developed an ambitious restyling and portfolio expansion project aimed at adapting its range to market evolution and the growing demand for more segmented wines with a strong identity and greater added value.

The initiative strengthens the clarity of the portfolio and modernises the brand’s image, while preserving the character, typicity and coherence that have always defined Viña Eguía. The project affects both the classic Rioja range: Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva, which now features a cleaner and more consistent image, and the varietal range, updated with a more contemporary visual language aimed at consumers seeking differentiation within the appellation.

Alongside the restyling, Viña Eguía is expanding its portfolio with new proposals that respond to different consumption profiles and market trends. These include Viña Eguía Semidulce Rioja, the Principales Denominations range, with wines from DO Rías Baixas, DO Ribera del Duero and DO Rueda, and a Godello from Castilla y León, completing the brand’s varietal offering.

Particular attention is drawn to Viña Eguía Origin Range, a limited-production, premium-positioned range conceived to produce Rioja monovarietal wines according to each vintage. This project is rooted in the work carried out at Finca Montalvillo, in Rioja Oriental, where the winery cultivates eleven grape varieties in vineyards currently undergoing conversion to organic farming, alongside selected vineyards in Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa. Looking ahead, Origin Range also foresees the development of multivarietal wines based on the winemaker’s creative interpretation.

The new references will be presented from February 2026 at international trade fairs such as Barcelona Wine Week, Wine Paris and ProWein, with a progressive market release planned for spring 2026.

Viña Eguía is part of Muriel Wines, one of Spain’s leading wine groups, with a presence in more than 50 countries and a strong international focus.
